All Dogs: Holiday Poodles
Poodles by Lucy Maloney
I have not owned a Poodle myself. However I find them the most interesting to create in miniature. I'm not sure if it's their fancy cuts giving me a chance to experiment with many types of fibers and make fancy bows... or if it's just the beautiful expressive faces these very intelligent dogs have. Regardless the reason I love making them and placing them in many types of settings. Here of course I am able to use the holiday tree in the setting with the wonderful snowy hillside in the background really setting them off.

Smallest Working Train Models
It’s rare that a train enthusiast has to worry about losing one of their models in a pants pocket, but it would no longer be unheard of. These trains are some of the smallest and to see them in action is a wonder in both model creation and macro camera technology.

RIP Barbara (Bobbie) Schoonmaker of Micro-Stitchery, IGMA Fellow
Quote from the website
It is with overwhelming sadness to inform you that on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 15, 2011, Barbara (Bobbie) Schoonmaker passed away.
Bobbie achieved her legacy in the miniature world during the 1980s with her petitpoint designs in patterns, kits, paraphernalia and her sought-after finished pieces.
In 1987, Bobbie was made a Fellow of The International Guild of Miniature Artisans (IGMA) where she also served on both the Artisan and Fellow Selection Committees.
Bobbie's work has been displayed in museums such as The Smithsonian in Washington, DC; Tiffany's Christmas windows in New York City and IGMA's first "Elements of Style" exhibit.
For many a year, she participated in numerous East-coast miniature shows. Then, in the spring of 2000 she went on-line with her petitpoint business, launching her Web site.
Fortunately, this most impressive legacy does not end, Bobbie's "microStitchery" will most certainly continue.
I am also very happy to let you know that there are close to 300 patterns of Bobbie's which have yet to be released. These patterns will slowly start going up on the Web site in the Spring/Summer of 2012.
Also for Bobbie's wonderful Paraphernalia pieces, an outstanding Canadian artisan has been chosen to reproduce these pieces. And, as with the new petitpoint patterns, there are also new Paraphernalia pieces which will be produced and available in the Fall of 2012.

crafts from making jewelry and
cards, wrap gifts or to just
decorate everyday objects.
In November 2009 I tried

I entered the world of miniatures, making my first miniature food. The rest is history..."

Dollhouse Hostel named "U Ulitki"
We found this amazing
dollhouse while surfing
the web. The name of all
this hostel is "U Ulitki".
The overall size of this piece
measures 37 x 15 x 21 cm. It
is a painstaking accurate
work of art! At the same
time it has the charm and
magic of what makes
dollhouses so much fun.
The dollhouse was built by Vilonessa Dolls.
We applaud the builder of this dollhouse as their imagination and creativity is unmistakable. Well done Vilonessa Dolls.
Meet CDHM Artisan Monica Graham, IGMA Artisan, of M-M-Minis
"My name is Monica, but many people in the
cyberworld know me by my nickname, Yahzmin.
I've been making full-size baskets for about
15-years now, and miniatures of all kinds for about 10-years.
Finally, last year, the 2 great passions of my life met, merged -- and now I make miniature baskets of all shapes, sizes, materials and kinds.
I can do custom work in almost any color scheme with my fiber baskets, and can dye my black ash many colors as well. Even when left natural, my black ash baskets can be accented with cording in a shade to match your decor, so feel free to email me with special requests.
To see my current posted stock of miniatures, including many types of baskets, floral arrangements, etc.
Monica was awarded Artisan by IGMA, International Guild of Miniature Artisans in 2011 in the category of Accessories/Baskets.

MUFFA - Miniatures: 1:12 Scale Miniature dolls and jointed sock monkeys
Article by CDHM Artisan Mariella Vitale of Muffa Miniatures
"These two little boys are full jointed and movable, the head turns and the limbs move so they can stand or seat. They are able to stand on their own because of the long tail that helps a lot.
"The dolls are fully jointed too, but have no tail LOL!!!
"The sock monkeys are still waiting for a good home (they are here) while the little dolls will come with me in Arnhem in October (even if I don't know if I will be able to part with them)!
"I am also working on pumpkins and gourds but I will post pictures as soon as I make them a little body!
"P.S. which is the right way to write the word sock monkey? Sock Monkey or Sockmonkey?"
